Thank you for your co-operation and I hope this site will be helpful to you.
I hope the new cover and new title will be pleasing to those who would like a copy of the book.
Finding the book seemed difficult for some people as it can only be ordered through the author.
There were some who found the original title an embarrassment if
someone would see them reading such a revealing title.
If the book was ordered from out of the U.S. it was a long wait to receive it and an expensive postal fee. So hopefully we have solved the problems.
NOW AVAILABLE IN THE ELECTRONIC VERSION
"I'M HIS MOTHER, but, HE'S NOT MY SON" is the revised copy with a new title and cover in order to make ordering easier with the only cost being $15.00 for the book.
NO Postage or Handling charges.
The book can be obtained by placing your order, U.S. currency by check or money order sent to:
Barbara Gonyo
906 Ioka
Mt. Prospect, IL

U.S.A.
When sending your order and check, please include your email address so you can receive the book to read on your computer or download for your own copy.
I hope this will make it easier and faster and more convenient for everyone.
Thank you all and I hope I'm His Mother, but, He's Not My Son will educate you and enlighten those who need to learn more about this reunions issue.
P.S. There are only a few copies left in print in the paper back issues with the old title if you are interested in obtaining a copy the old fasioned way.
At last the time has come for more exploration on the subject of GSA!
Questions on this subject have gone too long without answers. There has been much attention drawn to this subject due to cases of GSA that have become public due to criminal charges for those acting upon their GSA feelings. And yet nobody so far had taken a real interest to research this topic and understand the drivers, the emotions, the effects, etc- the only research to date is the one we recently posted by Dr. Greenberg, but that is still based on a limited number of respondents.
Time to hear from the experts. Those who are part of the GSA website are the experts because we are, or have been, living with GSA. And on this website we probably have as good a group of people with experience as can be pulled together now! We are the ones who can most help each other by sharing our own, often lonely and incredibly painful experiences. By documenting them, not only will we create what I think many of you are shouting for; we will hopefully also help equip professionals to be better informed and better manage situations involving GSA.
Due to my own limitations on how to do a survey and hoping someone with that knowledge would come forward to accomplish such a project, it didn't come to fruition until now. Finally, after almost 30 years, someone who has the experience and skills to do this type of work has come forward and offered to help. We are working together to get this survey out to you (IT WILL BE TOTALLY ANONYMOUS AND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS WILL BE ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL- WE WILL ONLY REPORT BACK AGGREGATE RESPONSES), and want to ask for your opinions and help.
So could you please answer the following:
Would you be interested in seeing the results of a survey amongst us that looks at what happens, how, what we feel, what we have learned, etc?
Would you be willing to contribute by filling out the survey? (anonymous).
It should take c.30-40 minutes. Would you commit to investing that time?
We need about 5 volunteers to test it next week before we put it out on the website- please let me know if you would be interested ASAP. We will need your responses within a matter of days...
We have been given permission by Dr. Maurice Greenberg BSc MPhil MRCP, FRCPsych Consultant Psychiatrist and Honorary Senior Lecturer Camden & Islington and Head of Student Counselling Service UCL in the U.K., to print his paper on ”Post Adoption Reunion- Are We Entering Uncharted Territory?”
This was a lecture presented to the British Association of Adoption and Fostering on 5th October, 1993.
I am very grateful to Dr. Greenberg for his interest in Genetic Sexual Attraction and the case study that he did on this subject.
I hope you will find his work and his article helpful in your education of GSA.
Just to let everyone know that there was a new article published in the Guardian magazine about siblings marrying in Germany and jail time for what is considered a crime there.
