Is there anyone out there that has had a reunion that has worked it all out so the outcome is that they are still with their husband/wife/partner and same goes for person they have been reunited with and everyone is one big happy family so to speak?

Don't you think it odd that so many people who have reunions (near on or just over 50%) appear to "fall in love" with the person they have been reunited with and it results in families splitting up etc etc etc.......

It isn't just a case of "well you can't choose who you fall in love with" can it?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could "have it all"????????????

Cool hello tina
i am troubleds secret lover. i am not so troubled. we see each other every day and have a trusting close relationship. we have been together for three years and are still very much in love. i also have a relationship with her hubby and kids. the kids love me and the hubby hates me but we see eachother all the time and it doesnt look like that is going to change anytime soon. we have plans together so we have a legitamate reason to be together dailey. things are going good for me and she has to struggle to " stay celibate for the record" but we will stay together and the way things are going there wont be a suicidal ending. we fought for this though and every one would rather consider us just close friends.

I've always been suprised at how many people seem to have problems. Its getting to the point that it is almost a cliche.

The story seems to go like this:

A married woman meets her father/brother/son and both feel strongly attracted to the other. Bad choices are made as a result of this attraction. The husband of the woman finds out about the goings on and leaves her, taking the children with him. He then demands that she cut off all contact with her father/brother/son or else she'll never see her kids again.

Sound familiar?

I think part of the reason this scenario is so common, both here an on the Yahoo GSA group, is because people who are not having problems with GSA aren't nearly as likely to seek out forums like this one.

There are those of us for whom GSA has not been a horrible nightmare because it has not caused problems for us. My sister and I were both single when we met. We have no children and our relationship with our family, while not strained, is somewhat distant. As a result no one was hurt or betrayed when we became involved. We've been together for several years now and intend to be together for the rest of our lives. We consider ourselves married. A legal marriage is of course impossible, but so what? As long as we keep the fact that we're half-siblings a secret it is highly unlikely that we will ever have any problems.

So I guess ours could be considered and all-around success story. It certainly isn't a failure.

What is the deep down reason that you and your sister are together as a couple? Do you think it is because you both have a need to be with one another after being denied your normal brother/sister growing up relationship together? Do you/your sister/both of you question yourselves or are you 100% completely happy with whom you are and where you are?

Do you wonder what will happen if your "relationship" comes to an end? Do you think you would be able to take up a brother/sister relationship or would it be the complete end?

So many questions - sorry - I am looking for so many answers.

It sure would be nice to hear more stories like yours.... single , no close family. What is the Yahoo group you are speaking of?

It sure is the truth that people that seek support like this are the ones with problems, because unless you have a problem. why would people seek others like themselves to discuss it with??

We are all stereotypical of GSA victims. If we had no-one else to worry about except ourselves we wouldn't have to worry about bad decisions, or emotional pain, we would simply "hook up" and live our lives like the unattached people do. If things were only that simple!!!!!!!!
