TO ALL WHO READ THIS SITE
I was privileged this week end to have two very special people who were visiting in Chicago come to visit me.
This is a husband and wife who have dealt with GSA. GSA caused many problems due to no education on their part as to what was happening to everyone.. I have deep admiration for them both because they are searching to find answers and ways to grow back together with love and insight into what GSA is.
While they were here I asked them to view the Documentary "Family Secrets" which was made by September Films about GSA. I think they found the film helpful and insightful.
In our conversation we spoke of the Significant Other, the person who had to stand on the sidelines and watch while this bonding process of reunions not only took place but seem to be out of control. Strangely enough it was the husband who found our GSA website and finally was able to understand more clearly that this was not a case of insanity or of sexaul predators but of two people wanting to erase all the years of pain they had endured being apart.
I have always felt that there needs to be help for those who are standing by wondering what is going on in their lives. Who can they talk to? At one time we had no one to talk to about this and now we can, but where do they go for support.
This man has suggested starting a significant other website and we talked about how good we thought that would be. I have offered to have him post the proposal to all of you to see if you would have an interest in this.
If you are one of these people who thinks that the world has gone crazy or that a member of your family is going off the deep end because of their feelings for a reunited relative or that GSA is not a real cause for help and don't understand what it is all about, please write in with your thoughts.
If we see a need, he will be able to share his knowledge and experience and hopefully some answers for those of you who think you are the only one this is happening to.
Please remember there is sometimes great pain in these taboo relationships so lets be kind to one another and not judgemental. Remember it could happen to any one of us.
