Reunions
Hi Alana,
Welcome to the Group I would like to point you in the direction of another Group (not that there's anything with this one! )...the Adoption Reunion GSA Group on Yahoo, it's the last website on 'Web Links' on here (see my previous posting and reply)...I think you will find what Tiy Naton has to say in the post dated 5 Sep 04; subject: 'Lexie, Marley and Doris' extremely interesting...Regards, Heidi |

Welcome Alana!
Hi Alana!
Welcome! Reading everyone's comments regardless of the relationship, be it mother/son, father/daughter, brother/sister, should give you the idea that we can all relate to your situation even though ours may not be exactly the same. I would think it would be somewhat more difficult to work through than a sister/brother which I am in. Take it slow!! Those emotions are raging and they take control of your mind and body. It's the happiest of loves. Please take a few minutes to look down the road. This is not to discourage you, but I don't think many of us out here did that. We were overtaken by the emotions and the love. Remember that we are here for you. I hope this reunion brings you much happiness and a life time of enjoyment. Keep us updated!

Hi
Hello Alana,
I think a lot of us have been through that 'sitting down and planning our future' with our newly found family member. Because it is so intense (and that is putting it mildly) that is all you can think of day and night, and yes things are a lot different when you don't have children but I do think that you have to start asking yourself an awful lot of questions and really trying to look at reality here. I wonder if there are a lot of us that aren't being completely truthful with ourselves maybe because of fear of loss, I don't know. It really isn't an easy one and at the end of the day it is your decision but whatever you decide and so long as you are happy with it - then you have made the right decision. Good luck & best wishes Teenie |
