Smile Should I Have Another Child With My Young Nephew?

I am 50 years old woman, who has been involved in a loving sexual relationship with my eldest sister's 26 year old son for the past ten years now. Our union has produced a beautiful nine year old girl, and I also have two adult daughters from a previous marriage.
My nephew and I live together as man and wife with our child, and as a family, the three of us are very happy together. Lately my partner has been raising the question of another child.
Our sex life is an extremely active and productive one, and so far, he hasn't looked elsewhere. He says that he loves me, and always will, even though our mothers are unhappy with our relationship.
I feel that if I wanted to, I can easily get pregnant by him again. I also feel that another child with him will be the final thread that would tie us forever together.
Would this be a wise move?
We would also like to participate in your survey, but has trouble logging in. Please Help!

Your age alone makes any child you produce more susseptable to Downs Syndrome than if you were much younger. Add to that the 2-4% increased risk of deformities because of your close blood relation and I would say that would be enough to keep me from trying again. But the decision is entirely yours, as are the consequences.

Consider Victor's advise seriously, maybe discuss it with your ob/gyn. You are lucky to be able to get pregnant at your age. If you do decide to have another child, you should opt for testing of the fetus in the range of 10-12 weeks, in the USA these tests are CVS or ominiocentisis. If tests indicate a deformatiy at that point, then the tough decision will be whether to abort if miscarriage does not solve the situation for you. The fact that you have a healthy daughter by your nephew is a good sign, but not a guarentee.

May God bless you in making your decision and if you so choose, a successful pregnancy.

Smile We are trying our best.

Hi Martin1932,
Just to let you know that since I posted the above, my nephew and I discussed the pros and cons of having another child together, and we have mutually decided that we'd love having another child.
Since this decision, we have been been hard at work trying for another child.
So far nothing. We'll just have to keep on trying, I suppose!
If it is God's wish, He'll let us have another child.
Lots of love.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. I hope your new child will be healthy and deformity free (mongloidism).
