Genetic Sexual Attraction is the body’s design to help with the bonding process when we meet family members. A hormone called Oxytocin is released. It is the same hormone moms and fathers have as well as the infant after their baby is born to help bond and fall madly in love with each other. As adults Oxytocin is released when we fall in love and have sex. That is why genetic attraction becomes utterly confusing. Our hearts have a hold of our minds and what nature designed for family establishment and strength has now ambushed us to fall in love as adults with our dads, moms, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons. It is experienced as a surge of a fierce need to connect through physical, emotional and mental bonding, yoking the reunited family members in an enigma of love, lust, need, and attachment. It can become embarrassing, confusing, amazing, overwhelming, extremely frustrating, and perplexed as each individual experiencing genetic attraction is bewildered by the immensity of yearning to unite and secure the bond that has been missing from their lives thus far and now seems impossible to live without.
