S.O.A.R. MISSION STATEMENT

The founders of S.O.A.R, are dedicated to supporting others who have been directly or indirectly affected by the genetic sexual attraction phenomenon.

Support. To lend a hand to those who feel that they are all alone and have nowhere to turn when experiencing genetic sexual attraction.

Openness. To be empathetic and compassionate to all who have experienced directly or indirectly genetic sexual attraction- regardless of where they are in their journey and understanding of GSA.

Awareness. To educate in order to prevent GSA from happening to adoptees, adopting families, birth parents, and broken family systems. Our goal is to prepare anyone who is reuniting with a relative to understand the dynamics of GSA.  We want to inform the mental health field about this phenomenon when working with clients affected by GSA.  To foster greater awareness and understanding to the public of what GSA is and is not.

Restoration. To provide tools, resources, and understanding to those who have been affected by GSA and their family members.  We want to bring back hope.
