re: advise
MamaR
I appreciate the advise you've given me. You and your h/b have not been close ever since, I cannot handle it if I break off contact with my h/b. I dont want to risk losing him. I will however refer to your suggestions in getting out of this situation. Its sad that most people who have experienced this wonderful love are now alienated to those they love. Thank you kindly for sharing your experiences with us. All the best |

Actually, Angel, we are separated by a lot of distance. We do exchange cards and I called him, just a few days ago, to ask him if he would like the pictures I took of our grandparent's farm while I was on vacation. We had a very nice, 30-minute conversation.
I got an email from him, today, telling me that he had received the pictures and asking me if the foundation for the old house was still there and if I would like some copies of pictures made right before Grampa died. We just don't see each other because we are so far apart, 1300 miles to be exact, and we are not the affluent kind that can travel any time we like. But, I will tell you that, even while I was talking to him and hearing his voice, my feelings were just that of a sister for a brother. In order for those feeling to change, you have to be truly willing to let go of the romantic, "in love" feelings and start thinking about the real relationship. You can control your thoughts and if you do that, the emotions will follow. |
