1905, eh? That's funny. I thought that it was interesting, actually, that the Catholic church admitted that there might be some questions about the whole bible Adam and Eve, Able and Cain thing. There has got to be more to that whole story.

As far as the birth defects, I'm sticking to my guns here. Additionally, the Amish in Ohio and Pennsylvania have a high incidence of genetically inherited diseases, attributed to being descendants of a small group of people.

Here's my theory. Nature happens in a way that encourages the human race to procreate in the most successful way possible. The Westermark effect keeps us from being attracted to our family members that we grow up with, in fact we even find the thought of being attracted to them distasteful. Thus society as a whole discourages this behaviour, just as it discourages homosexuality. Sometimes though, in spite of its best intentions, nature goes very wrong and pretty much shoots itself in the foot.

Given that, GSA feelings do happen in some circumstances, and they are not to be denied. This is what I've come to believe because loving someone and wanting to be close to them is a good thing. I'm not saying that GSA attractions should necessarily result in a sexual relationship, I'm just saying that they are valid and should not be discounted.

I am the one from the primetime show

My hb and I were the ones on the show...your brother is wrong. Alot of people were able to come forward AND find people to talk and relate to. My brother went thru all those guilt feelings..bc men are society's *sexual monsters* and its AlWaYs their fault. But when it is mutual it cannot be stopped. Truthfully when I hear about the guy leaving in this kind of relationship It makes me wonder if they arent being a typical guy..one who is afraid of committment or just cant be with one person for too long. Then there other part of me truelly thinks that some people just cant get passed the fact that society has beat it in us that this love is wrong, and some people just cant get passed it. Ours is a very mutual love. I would like for you to print this and let him read it. Really your love can see you thru it...the first 5 years are the hardest. Its when people dont just suspect anymore, they know, and half of them will confront you with it. You just got to stand your ground, any losses were determined to be losses anyway. The people who really love you both, it will not change for them...they might not ever accept it 100% but they wont leave you bc of it. I hope this helps, and please write me if you need to.

I'm glad you had a comment on this Luvsbubby. My HS and I have been able to find many people on this site who we were able to talk to and relate our GSA to. I also highly agree that "MEN" are always deemed as the sexual monsters in society, even in my own mind no matter how many times my HS tells me that we are in this "together" and that "the choice was hers as much as it was mine"... i cant help feeling like i was the aggressor when we talked about our choice to be together. We find many places where we can be a couple together in the public eye, but we still dread the days when our families and friends might find out. For now we just live everyday one step at a time, nothing was ever gained by worring about the things you cant control.
